Relevant Experience: Monty brings a rounded base of experience to the classroom podium. He consults for some of the world’s largest companies. He works frequently as the Lead Auditor for an ANSI-RAB certified registrar, and enjoys teaching people of all levels in his classes at Sierra Services.
Monty has assisted clients nationwide to achieve ISO9000-94, ISO 9000-2000 and QS9000 certification. He is familiar with and has lead, taught, developed or implemented programs in the areas of Corrective Action-Root Cause Analysis, Sampling Plans, Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, as well as QFD, SPC, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, DOE.
Previous lifetime adventures include: Director of Quality and Engineering at Nishikawa Standard Company, a tier 1 and tier 2 supplier, where Monty led 24 facilities to QS9000 registration and 9 international facilities to ISO9001 registration. As Division Manager of Advanced Engineering and Quality at GenCorp Automotive, Monty achieved the lowest Parts Per Million ratings in the division history. Finally, Ford Motor Company - Division Director of Quality accountable for all quality functions for 19 plants in 7 countries. Established compliance standards to Ford's Q101, Q1, Total Quality Excellence, Total Preventive Maintenance and initially ISO9001 and 9002 standards.
Monty’s experiences working with and leading people and teams of people at all levels creates a learning environment that makes each Sierra Services class participant feel as if they have contributed to a successful end result. His experiences in management, auditing, consulting, and teaching make the class enjoyable and fun because he is able to relate so many ‘on-the-spot’ case studies to his students.
