Relevant Experience: Ed Dunn is a quality management professional with an extensive industrial and management career that spans more than 35 years. Ed has held a variety of positions with responsibilities for manufacturing operations and supervision in the chemical and plastics industries.
As a manager and a trainer, he successfully implemented Total Quality improvement systems for multi-plant manufacturing system operations and has provided technical assistance to several clients in their successful implementation of major quality systems that comply with the ISO 9001-2000, ISO 9002 and QS 9000 standards.
Currently, Ed serves as instructor for Ivy Tech State College and Vincennes University and teaches a variety of quality and management classes that are directed primarily to participants from Ford/Visteon’s plant locations. To date, over 1100 students have successfully completed their company prescribed quality-training requirements through these classes. In class, Ed's enthusiasm, hands-on instruction and industry experience maintains worker motivation at all levels.
Ed has completed his IRCA Lead Auditor re-certification training for the new ISO 9001:2000 standard and conducts third party audits for Orion Registrar, Inc. He is a member of the Society of Plastics and is a Plexus Corporation Certified Trainer for the ISO 9001 Standard, and the QS 9000 Automotive Requirement.
