ISO 9000:2000 Internal Auditor Upgrade Training Course
This course is designed as a guide for internal quality auditors that were previously trained to ISO9000:1994 levels and are now in need of a better understanding of the changes and additions to the ISO9000 : 2000 standard. The assumption is that the student has been trained in the mechanics of internal auditing as the class covers the changes and additions of the standard rather than cover previously learned skills. Workshop activities, interactive discussions, and case studies will reinforce learning about the changes and about process auditing. Learn how process auditing has been emphasized in the IS9000:2000.
The course objectives include:
• Explain the purpose of the ISO 9000 :2000 changes and the reasons behind the changes.
• Detailed discussion of the elements that comprise the ISO9000:2000 standard
• Highlighted discussion of the changes and additions to the ISO standard and how they can affect audit findings.
• Learn about the requirements of the standard through discussion and interactive case studies, and how the new revision maps back to the ISO 9001: 1994
• Understand the Planning and Documentation needs of the new standard in order to better plan for internal audit report writing
• Learn basic guidelines for setting up the measuring and monitoring systems to meet the standards requirements while improving your business.
• Explain the timeline of the changes to the ISO 9000 standard and when the changes are projected to take place.
• Understand how ISO9000:2000 will effect your present certification and when your company will need to upgrade to the new ISO 9000: 2000 version.
• Discuss the possible approaches to implementation with helpful Auditor hints on how to be successful.
